These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of the Maple Merit platform and related services provided by Maple Merit Technologies Inc.
By accessing or using Maple Merit, schools and educators agree to these Terms.
1. Service Description
Maple Merit is a student engagement platform designed to help schools recognize participation, encourage positive behaviours, and reward academic effort through a point-based system.
2. Authorized Users
Maple Merit is intended for use by:
- Schools
- Teachers and school administrators
- Authorized students within participating schools
Schools are responsible for managing user access within their institution.
3. Educational Purpose
Maple Merit is designed to support educational engagement and motivation. It is not intended to replace academic grading systems or school disciplinary policies.
4. Rewards and Incentives
Schools may provide incentives or rewards for student participation through Maple Merit.
Maple Merit does not guarantee specific rewards unless explicitly provided through approved partnerships or programs.
5. Acceptable Use
Users agree not to:
- Misuse the platform
- Attempt unauthorized access to accounts
- Manipulate reward systems fraudulently
- Upload harmful or illegal content
Violations may result in account suspension.
6. Platform Availability
Maple Merit strives to maintain reliable service but does not guarantee uninterrupted access due to maintenance or technical issues.
7. Intellectual Property
All Maple Merit branding, software, and platform materials remain the property of Maple Merit Technologies Inc.
Users may not copy or distribute platform materials without permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
Maple Merit is not responsible for indirect damages resulting from platform use.
Schools remain responsible for educational decisions and student supervision.
9. Modifications
Maple Merit may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
